Who are the researchers behind this innovative study, taking a different approach to understanding difference?
Developing a new measure of engagemnet with learning activities is the aim of the PhD project of Julie Bailey. Julie is a former secondary school teacher and head of sixth form who now supports students at the University of Cambridge and works with schools on provision for autistic pupils.

What are we trying to achieve?
- A greater understanding of the experience of learning activities for autistic and other neurodiverse students.
- A more effective research tool for measuring engagement with learning activities across different contexts and between different groups.
This project is supervised by Dr Sara Baker and the project advisor is Dr Jenny Gibson. The project is supported by Sara’s research lab, PacLab and INSTRUCT research teams.
